Dr. Dennis P. Breene, M.D.
Dr. Dennis P. Breene grew up in northern Virginia and has practiced Ophthalmology for over three decades.
Dr. Breene graduated from Emory and Henry College with a B.S. in Biology in 1976 and completed his M.D. at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1980 on a US Navy scholarship. He interned in internal medicine at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia, and spent three years as a Naval Flight Surgeon, with one year stationed in Keflavik, Iceland.
Dr. Breene has extensive experience in cataract, glaucoma, and oculoplastic surgery and currently practices medical ophthalmology with a focus on:
- Cataract Evaluations
- Comprehensive Eye Exams
- Diabetic Eye Disease Screenings
- Glaucoma Evaluation
- Minor Laser and Oculoplastic Procedures
Dr. Breene is a life member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
In his off hours, Dr. Breene enjoys painting and drawing, building guitars and ukuleles, and playing bass guitars (badly). He is single and has two adult children, Brittaney and Victor, as well as a new granddaughter, Madeline.
