J. Stephen Ellis, M.D.

Dr. Stephen Ellis is a board-certified ophthalmologist with more than 25 years of medical and surgical eye care experience.

Dr. Ellis graduated from Emory University in 1982 and received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1987 where he also completed his internship and residency.

After practicing in Marietta, GA for 2 years, Dr. Ellis joined Eye Physicians Professional Associates in Macon in 1993 and then Vision Eye Group in 2019, where he enjoys providing patients with compassionate and state of the art eye care.

Dr. Ellis is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology actively participating in Maintenance of Certification. He is also a Fellow in the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Ellis has served as Clinical Assistant Professor at the Mercer University School of Medicine and held memberships in the Georgia Society of Ophthalmology and the Medical Association of Georgia.
